Krystal A. Reed, known also as “KrysSpeaks” is a entrepreneur, journalist, and educator who passionately supports and promotes women empowerment through the stories that she shares on Linking All Women. As the Founder of Linking All Women News & Media company, based in her hometown, Milwaukee WI KrysSpeaks has created a story-telling platform where women are inspired to grow a greater appreciation for one another and encouraged to value each other’s generational differences.

Often, we hear how strong, bold, and courageous women are, but how do they become that? Where did it start? Those are the questions that sparks KrysSpeaks interest in telling the stories of women across generations: their journey of losses, wins, and how they eventually collide into their divine purpose. KrysSpeaks believes the stories that are told on Linking All Women's platform brings healing, hope, and inspiration which helps to move a woman's inner #girlpower needle to its highest potential.

Coming from a line of strong women, KrysSpeaks takes pride in her genetic and foundational make-up as a woman and with honor shares how she is the daughter of Shelon (mother), daughter of Drina (Grandma), and daughter of the late-great Mary Lou (Great-Grandmother). That is her woman history, including the best Auntie Ever (Rashida) who with love and guidance helped raised her into the woman she is today. Through-out KrysSpeaks upbringing, she was fortunate to see strength modeled in many facets of life, courage taken personally and professionally from those amazing women whom raised her. With her observant lens, she managed to learn, and appreciate womanhood in all that it brings and represents in the home, workplace, and culture. Her appreciation, and wisdom acquired from the stories she watched play out in real-time from women linked to her through familial and communal connection is what led to the birthed and purpose work of Linking All Women.

A bold voice of the millennial generation, KrysSpeaks' desire to see all women win at life against all odds is truly a God-given passion of hers, and her reason for daily Linking All Women.

How We Got Here

By: KrysSpeaks

At the top of this year, one of the first books I read was a book called "State of Emergency, How We Win In A Country We Built" by one of my favorite freedom fighters in today's social justice movement, Tamika D. Mallory. In her book, she began sharing "How We Got Here", and went on to discuss our roots, harnessing the power of our voice and so much more. After reading her book, I felt informed, yet challenged to do more and be more as I strive daily do my part to make a difference in this world.

On last week, just 9 months later from me reading her powerful book, I got to actually hear her voice in person boldly share -how we got here- and what we must do while we are here to ensure our ancestors blood, sweat, and tears, aren't wasted. Her speech was of course moving, inspiring, and took us on a journey from her recent visit in Africa, her work for demanding justice in the case of Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old young queen we lost in 2020, and a call-to-action to collectively use our Power for real change, real justice, not to just have a seat at the table.

It was such a pleasure to meet Tamika.....

What a journey it has been for us all to get to where we are today, the access we have, the opportunities, and privileges that those who walked before us didn't. May we never forget how we got here.

Jackson for Justice

By: KrysSpeaks

Representing All Generations, Celebrating All Contributions Worldwide MILWAUKEE, Wi,---April 7, 2022---In the words of singer/songwriter Beyoncé “It feels so good to be alive” lyrics from her latest “Be Alive” song is what firstly came to mind in hearing the Senate confirmation vote for Ketanji Brown Jackson today. With a 53-47 vote, Jackson has become the first Black woman to sit on the bench as the 116th Supreme Court Justice.

Her road to the highest office in the land of Justice has notably been an experience that challenged her faith, yet moved her step by step to persevere. To “Persevere” was the advice Jackson gave to younger generations during her confirmation hearing. That was in fact the same advice she received from an anonymous Black woman one evening while walking on Harvard Yard her freshman year wondering if she belonged there.

Like the young Justice Jackson at Harvard in the making years ago, many of us today ask ourselves the same questions she pondered that evening. Do I belong here? Can I make it in the environment? But after today’s moment in history, I believe Jackson’s courageous stance and representation on the bench will have us consider new questions that drives out our doubts and pushes us to overcome our fears.

Because of Jackson, women & girls will dream and reach even more higher. What an inspiration, What a class act, What a mighty woman who we all can take a note from her book of achievement and grit.

Her Courage, Our Benefit

By: KrysSpeaks

Representing All Generations, Celebrating All Contributions Worldwide MILWAUKEE, Wi,---February 4, 2022---What started as a post on Instagram in May 2020, now represents a pivotal moment in history that has made major retailer companies consider how they hold shelf space for Black-owned businesses. We can thank fashion designer Aurora James for leading this charge with her thriving non-profit organization Fifteen Percent Pledge. The name Fifteen Percent Pledge represents 15% of the US population made up by Black people.

”With over 28 retailers, we’ve been able to shift almost $10B of revenue to Black-owned businesses.”-15percentpledge.org

James call to action to expand and deepen the conversation about the circulation of major retailer dollars is an effort that should be celebrated, but most importantly supported. As we celebrate this Black History Month, the fight for equity in business across all sectors still remains a challenge. James work ensures that Black-owned businesses are a part of the capital commitment agenda for dollar distribution and product visibility. Her work helps to create opportunities for more representation in all industries and expand the wealth distribution to Black-owned brands worldwide.
